In the closing ceremony of smart hackathon Mansoura University recently hosted, attracting innovative minds from various disciplines to develop solutions for a sustainable future, the event saw enthusiastic participation from students, researchers, and professionals, all driven by a shared passion for environmental sustainability and technological innovation.

The Egyptian Biomedical Society (EBMES) played a pivotal role as a partner in the hackathon, providing expertise and support throughout the event. In recognition of their contributions, EBMES was invited to the final ceremony to participate in a panel discussion on the intersection of technology and environmental sustainability.

Eng. Ahmed Elseddawy, a medical equipment planning and installation consultant, represented EBMES at the panel. His lecture focused on the integration of smart technologies in environmental solutions, highlighting the critical role of biomedical engineering in creating sustainable healthcare environments. Eng. Ahmed shared insights on how smart technologies can be leveraged to monitor and manage environmental parameters, improve energy efficiency, and reduce waste in healthcare facilities.
